If you love to read and talk about books, The Friends of the Dominy Library book club is for you! Our book club is a discussion group that covers a wide variety of literary tastes, reading books from authors such as John Grisham, Melanie Benjamin, Alice McDermott, Barbara Kingsolver, Toni Morrison, Tara Westover, Bill O’Reilly, and Stephenie Meyer.
The Friends of the Dominy Library Book Club meets every other month on the 2nd Tuesday at 12:30 in the basement of the library to enjoy refreshments and discuss a book for about an hour. The book club books are chosen by members. You can join the Book Club with your membership to the Friends.
The Friends of the Library Annual Event is a free program held in March and is open to the community. From attracting butterflies and bringing back bluebirds to beekeeping, war planes of WWII, and the founding of Fairbury, we enjoy a different presentation each year along with refreshments.
